Play Group

Where learning meets fun and friendship

Play Group is one of the most delightful ways for your child to begin a journey of discovery. It is a place to learn about the world, make friends and practise essential social skills.

Our thoughtfully designed environment encourages little learners to explore through hands-on activities, sensory experiences, music, movement, stories, art, and playful interactions. These everyday experiences help children develop their language, motor skills, social abilities, and confidence while making learning feel natural and enjoyable.

We gently support children as they transition from home to school, offering reassurance, familiar routines, warm interactions, and individual attention to help them settle in comfortably. Our caring teachers and trained caregivers work together to ensure that every child receives the attention, comfort, and encouragement they need throughout the day.

We also nurture essential early-life skills, helping children gradually learn to express their feelings, communicate their needs, interact with peers, share experiences, and explore their growing independence. Through consistent encouragement and positive interactions, children begin to develop trust, resilience, and a sense of belonging.

Nursery

At Crossmaze, the Nursery years mark an exciting stage where curiosity blossoms, communication grows, and children begin discovering their own abilities. We provide a nurturing balance of structured learning, hands-on exploration, creative expression, and joyful play, ensuring that every child feels supported while taking their next steps towards independence.

Our teachers create meaningful learning experiences that encourage children to ask questions, express their thoughts, recognise patterns, explore early literacy and numeracy, and make sense of the world around them. Junior KG (LKG)

Nurturing all-round development

At Crossmaze, the Junior KG years are a wonderful stage of growing confidence, expanding curiosity, and discovering new possibilities. As children become more independent thinkers and expressive learners, we provide the right balance of structured learning, hands-on experiences, creativity, and purposeful play to help them flourish in every area of development.

Our teachers introduce children to foundational literacy and numeracy through engaging, age-appropriate activities that build phonics awareness, vocabulary, early reading and writing readiness, number sense, pattern recognition, and logical thinking. Rather than focusing only on outcomes, we encourage children to understand concepts, ask questions, make connections, and enjoy the process of learning.

We nurture creativity and critical thinking through storytelling, art, music, role-play, experiments, puzzles, and collaborative activities. These experiences help children develop imagination, observation, problem-solving abilities, and the confidence to share their ideas and explore different possibilities. Equally important is the development of social and emotional maturity. Day Care

Day care and enrichment, where learning meets safety

Our Day Care and Activity Centre is a special place where learning takes a fresh, playful and captivating form. Dedicated, trained caregivers keep children safe at all times, so working parents have peace of mind while they are at work.

Day care fits around your family. Children can spend the full day with us, stay on after their morning class, or come for day care alone, without joining a class. Children from other schools, up to the age of 8, join us after school: we collect them from the nearest drop point of their school bus.

Children bring a packed snack and lunch from home. Every day, we put your child’s safety, well-being and all-round development first.

A day at Crossmaze

Busy, happy little days

Every day balances calm, focused Montessori work with play, stories, music and movement.

  1. Good morning

    A warm welcome at the door, then circle time to say hello, share news and talk about the day.

  2. Montessori work time

    Hands-on materials for language, numbers and practical life, explored at each child’s own pace.

  3. Snack and stories

    Snack time together, followed by stories, rhymes and plenty of conversation.

  4. Theme activities

    Art and craft, music and show-and-tell, all built around the theme of the week.

  5. Play and movement

    Indoor and outdoor play, dance and yoga to build strength, balance and confidence.

  6. Day care afternoon

    Day care children have lunch, a rest in the nap room and calm afternoon activities until pick-up.

Questions parents ask us

What age can my child join?

Children join the class that fits their age on 1 June: Play Group from 2 years, Nursery from 3, Junior KG from 4 and Senior KG from 5. Day care welcomes children from 2 to 8 years, with or without a Crossmaze class.

Which curriculum do you follow?

A Montessori-based, thematic curriculum: our Foundational Development Program, which brings language, numbers, social skills and physical development together in every theme.

What are the timings?

Timings differ from branch to branch, and some programs run in more than one batch. You’ll find each branch’s programs, batches and timings on its page, under Branches. Day care follows on after class, so children can move from class straight into day care.

Do children bring their own food?

Yes. Children bring a packed snack from home, and children in day care bring a packed lunch too.

Can children from other schools join day care?

Yes. Day care is open to children from other schools, up to the age of 8. We collect them from the nearest drop point of their school bus.

Can I see my child during the day?

The Crossmaze Care parents’ app keeps every parent updated on their child’s day, and day care parents can also watch live on CCTV.

Do you provide transport?

Yes. Our in-house transport runs on set routes within a 5 km radius of each centre. Seats depend on availability, so please check with your nearest centre.

How do I apply for admission?

Send us an enquiry, call us or message us on WhatsApp. Our admissions team will answer your questions and arrange a visit to your nearest centre, where you can meet the centre head and complete the admission.
